Centro Cultural Palacio de la Moneda (Av. Libertador Bernardo O Higgins, Santiago) – located in the southern façade of the Palacio de la Moneda, this cultural space was built between 2004 and 2006 (designed by Chilean architect Cristián Undurraga). Here, visitors are given access to the cultural and audiovisual richness of the country. Side exhibits are shown here, such as the Centro de Documentación de las Artes (“Arts Documentation Center”) – which provides information and resources concerning modern and contemporary art. There is also a Digital Laboratory (for film restoring and digitalization), restaurants, a café, and a small shop. Free admission – with free tours upon request. Hours: 9 am – 7 pm daily.
