Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino
Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino (Bandera 361, Santiago) – this museum exhibits pre-Columbian art from not only Chile, but all of Latin America. Because of its sizable collection, many who visit Santiago say that this is among the first sites worth visiting. The building that this museum is housed in is the Royal Customs House (that was built in 1807, and since went through some renovations). The Museo’s permanent collection, on the upper floor, has an exhibit on ceramics and textiles from Mexico to Patagonia. Admission: 3,000 pesos (general). Free admission on Sundays. Hours: 10 am – 6 pm (Tuesday – Sunday).
