Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral (Plaza de Armas, Santiago Centro, Santiago) – located in the city’s historic center, this is the seat of the Archbishop of Santiago, and the center of the Archidiocese of Santiago de Chile. It was built by 1800 in neoclassical style, and has survived a number of earthquakes.
